Field Trip

As part of the Symposium organization, participants are welcomed to register for one of our field trips to take place on October 20th. You have the option of visiting one of three vineyards located on the Maule or Colchagua Valleys: Viña Santa Cruz; Viña Via Wines; or Viña Terra Noble.

Please register NO Later than October 15. FIRST come FIRST SERVE.

TOUR 1: SANTA CRUZ

The “Body and Soul” tour starts with a visit to the variety garden. We will continue with a visit to the winemaking facilities and the barrel storage.

The first part of the tour finishes with a wine tasting of the Reserva and Gran Reserva selections. Visitors will have the chance to admire the valley landscape from the vineyard’s funicular. From the highest point of the vineyard, Cerro Chaman, the tour continues with a visit to the Indigenous Villas, which are replicas of the Aymara, Mapuche and Rapa Nui cultures.

Tour price: US $100 per person (aprox)

Tour includes: Wine tasting of 2 reserva and gran reserva wines, and lunch
This tour will return to Talca. Costs includes round trip transportation Talca-Santa Cruz-Talca

Schedule: The bus will depart at 9 AM from the main square in Talca. We will back to Talca around 6:00 PM.

Minimum: 6 persons — Maximum: 30 persons

TOUR 2: TERRA NOBLE

The Terra Noble vineyards are distributed among Casablanca, Colchagua and Maule valleys, covering 450 hectares. This field trip consists of a visit to the vineyard and wine making facilities located in the San Clemente district, in a zone called Valle del Claro.

The tour starts with the welcoming by the oenologist and a presentation of the company. Later on, we will visit the vineyard, the different grape varieties and soil profiles. The tour continues with the visit to the winemaking facilities and wine tasting of 5 Terra Noble wines.

The tour ends with a lunch at the pergola and wine sale.

Tour price: US $100 per person (aprox)

Schedule:

The bus will depart at 9 AM from the main square in Talca. Departure to Santiago from the vineyard is at 2:45 PM a arriving in Santiago city at 6:30 PM.

Tour includes:

Wine tasting of 5 reserva and gran reserva wines
This tour includes transportation to Santiago center and airport

Minimum: 10 persons — Maximum: 20 persons

TOUR 3: VIA WINES

Via Wines vineyard is located in the San Rafael district, while covering more than 1,000 hectares across the most important valleys of Chile. This field trip consists of a visit to the vineyard and wine making facilities.

The tour starts with a presentation of the company followed by a visit to the vineyard (Torreon sector) and the winemaking facilities. We will continue with a wine tasting and lunch at the vineyard’s restaurant.

The tour finishes with a visit to the wine sales hall.

Tour price: US $100 per person (aprox)

Tour includes:

Wine tasting of 3 reserva wines Oveja Negra or Las Chilcas and lunch
This tour includes transportation to Santiago center and airport

Schedule:

The bus will depart at 9 AM from the main square in Talca. Departure to Santiago from the vineyard is at 2:45 PM arriving in Santiago city at 6:00 PM.

Minimum: 6 persons — Maximum: 22 persons
